'The Wendy Williams Show' picked up for 3rd season

Self proclaimed “Queen of All Media,” talk show host Wendy Williams will be sticking around for a third season, after her Debmar-Mercury syndicated talk-fest, The Wendy Williams Show was picked up in more than 70% U.S. markets.

Stations: FOX, CBS, NBC, Tribune, Lin, Cox, Raycom and Meredith are all renewing to bring the former controversial DJ back to viewers homes in September.

Williams whose interview style is sometimes referred to as brash, became famous for outing gay rappers and other celebs alleged trangressions during her on air gossip segments.

She was fired from New York radio station HOT97, after getting into a fight with coworker Angie Martinez for outing her relationship with rapper Q-Tip.

Williams accuses the station for dismissing her because of pressure from hip-hop impressario "P. Diddy," whom she had previously outed, announcing on air that he was having a gay relationship with his protege Mase.

Deadline reports the deals follow ratings gains this season for the show in several major U.S. markets where it airs on Fox stations, including major metropolitans New York and Los Angeles.
